  • Fillmore Glen State Park in Moravia- named after Millard Fillmore, President of the U.S. who was first to have indoor plumbing installed in the White House.
  • Emerson Park on Owasco Lake, Auburn
  • Harriet Tubman House in Auburn- historic museum on National Register of Homes- home of Harriet Tubman, known as the Moses of Her People, After freeing herself from slavery,she is believed to have conducted approximately 300 slaves to freedom in the North via the Underground Railroad.
  • William Seward House in Auburn- historic former home of Secretary of State W.S. Seward under President Abraham Lincoln. Listed on the National Register of Homes. Seward was the driving force behind the purchase of Alaska, formerly known as "Seward's Folly". The museum is chock-full of historic artifacts and memorabilia from Seward's lifetime. Pretty garden on grounds, lovely to walk through at any time of year.
  • Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn- historic resting place of Harriet Tubman, Theodore Willard Case, William Seward.
  • Auburn Doubledays Baseball at Casey Park, Auburn
  • Cayuga Museum of History and Art, Auburn - former home of T.W. Case, inventor of "talking pictures" and where much of his original equipment remains; the home has stunning Lewis Comfort Tiffany windows; rotating exhibits.
  • Merry-Go-Round Playhouse on Owasco Lake, Auburn- state-of-the-art Broadway summer theater in historic Merry-Go-Round building; air conditioned; very reasonable rates
  • Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery, Skaneateles- cooperates with the Fish Creek Atlantic Salmon Club to hatch salmon eggs
  • Schweinfurt Art Center/Museum, Auburn - rotating displays, annual quilt show, art classes for adults and children, lectures and displays. Features a lovely gift shop with many finely crafted pieces by local artisans.
  • Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, Seneca Falls- a major resting area for waterfowl and other waterbirds on their journeys to and from nesting areas in northeastern and east-central Canada.
  • McKenzie Childs, Aurora -fresh, innovative design in home furnishings. Whimsical, hand-made ceramics, enamelware, glassware, furniture and home accessories comprise their collection based on tradition, but always with a twist.
  • Bass Pro Shop, Fingerlakes Mall, Auburn-offers a wide selection of outdoor, hunting & fishing gear, apparel and more
  • Aurora Inn, Aurora-Set on the shores of Cayuga Lake amidst a tiny, heritage village in the heart of the Finger Lakes, the Aurora Inn has a pedigree dating back to 1833. The original country inn, built in the Federal style with red brick and wide columned balconies, has now been impeccably restored.
